Tips For a Great Fall Shake Up

Whether you just want to shake things up, start something new or recommit to a fitness program, these are some great tips for doing just that.

 1.  The weather is cooling off, so GET OUTSIDE!  Find a park.  Find a path.  Find a new neighborhood.  Just get outside to workout.  You never can tell how many more days like these we will have.  Make the best of what we have got.

2.  Try something new!  Look through the class schedules for your local fitness center or recreation center.  Find something you have never done before and go for it!  I am so excited to try belly dancing this year.

3.  Find a group.  This is good for any time of year, but working out is always more fun when you have someone to work out with.

4.  Set a new goal.  This is a biggie!  Maybe it is a Thanksgiving fun run.  Maybe it is a smaller dress size.  Who knows better than you what would really mean something to you.  Set your goal.  Write it down.  Tell everyone about it.  Write down a plan.  Get moving!

5.  Go to the farmers market.  Buy some produce and come home and eat it.  There is just something about those markets and the freshest food you can buy that gets your taste buds salivating for good healthy food.

6.  Buy a new cookbook and use it!  Go get a new healthy recipe cookbook and set a goal to try a couple new recipes from it each week.  Variety really is the spice of life!

7.  Buy a new fitness outfit.  This is so much fun!  There is something about a new outfit to wear to the gym that really gets me excited about my next workout.

8.  Plan a late season fitness vacation.  Ooooh!  Let's go hiking!  Let's go biking!    Let's go rock climbing!  Let's go Plan to drive or jet off to somewhere fun and do just that!
